ABOUT
HOLLO ROOM is a multimedia installation, powered by BRD - Groupe Société Générale, according to a concept by the stage designer Adrian Damian together with Les Ateliers Nomad, AURAL EYE and CINETic, was exhibited at Gaudeamus International Fair in Bucharest. Visitors to the Gaudeamus book fair were able to experience possible new ways of reading in the future, with the help of several technologies integrated in the installation, including Hololens glasses with holograms and LEAP Motion sensors for tracking hand movements. The installation is a proposal of what the book might look like in the future. Not just a text medium, the book must have a certain materiality, even in digital, and inspire us at least as much as its paper version. In addition, the texts curated by Mihai Iovănel (Scena9.ro) and made available to the public, exposed visions about dystopian societies of the future and science-fiction universes imagined by authors such as Margaret Atwood in The Handmaid's Tale, Dan Simmons in Hyperion, Richard Morgan in Alterated Carbon, Sebastian A. Corn in Adrenergic !, Ernest Cline in Ready Player One, Pierce Brown in Red Fury and Neal Stephenson in Seven Eve. The 25th edition of the Gaudeamus International Fair took place between November 14th to 18th, 2018 in Romexpo, Bucharest.
